Website Development FAQ

What is included in a website development project?

A full website project with us includes: discovery and content planning, wireframes and design, responsive frontend development, CMS integration (so your team can update content without a developer), basic on-page SEO setup (meta tags, sitemap, schema markup), performance optimisation, cross-browser and device QA, staging review, and production launch. We also provide a content handover session so your team knows how to manage the site day-to-day. Ongoing maintenance is available as a separate retainer.

How long does it take to build a new website?

A brochure site with 8–12 pages and a CMS typically takes 6–10 weeks from signed contract to launch. The biggest variable is content — most delays happen when content (copy, images, case studies) arrives late. We provide a content requirements document at kickoff and offer copywriting services if you need them. Complex sites with custom functionality, e-commerce, or integrations take 12–20 weeks. We use a phase-based approach so you can see working pages early rather than waiting until everything is done.

Will my website work on mobile?

Yes — every website we build is mobile-first and responsive across all screen sizes and browsers. We test on real devices (iOS and Android, multiple screen sizes) and use BrowserStack to validate across browsers. Mobile performance is specifically optimised: images are served at appropriate sizes, touch targets meet minimum size requirements, and we avoid mobile-hostile patterns like hover-only interactions or tiny tap targets. Over 60% of web traffic in Nigeria is mobile — we treat it as the primary use case, not an afterthought.

Which CMS do you use?

Our default recommendation for marketing sites is a headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity, or Directus) paired with a Next.js frontend. This gives you a fast, secure site with a clean editing experience. For clients who need a simpler all-in-one solution we use WordPress with a custom block-based theme. We choose based on your team's technical comfort, content complexity, and budget for hosting. We avoid locking you into proprietary platforms — everything is built to be portable if you ever need to change agencies.

What happens to the website after it launches?

Every project includes a 30-day post-launch period where we address any bugs or adjustments that arise. After that, we offer a maintenance retainer that covers CMS updates, plugin/dependency updates, security patches, uptime monitoring, and a set of monthly development hours for content changes and small improvements. Without regular maintenance, websites accumulate technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and performance regressions. We handle this so you can focus on running your business.
