Cookies Policy

Effective: 09 May 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how Megatrust Technologies Limited uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on https://megatrusttech.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and measure how the site is used. We also use HTTP-only secure cookies for session management and CSRF tokens.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — session token, CSRF token, authentication state, cart / draft state. These cannot be disabled because the site would not function without them.
- Functional — remembered admin sidebar state, theme preference (light / dark), language preference.
- Analytics — first-party page-view counters and performance telemetry. We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracker by default.
- Marketing — only loaded after explicit consent through our cookie banner. Used for email-campaign click attribution and conversion measurement.
3. Third-party cookies
We may load third-party cookies for hosted features such as embedded video, payment gateways (Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe, PayPal, CryptoCloud), or social-share widgets. These cookies are governed by the respective third party's policies.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings — block, delete, or be alerted before any cookie is stored. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break login, checkout, and admin features. You can also adjust your preferences through the cookie banner at the bottom of the site.
